And finally for the part I know you've been waiting for. The vast majority of our patients are treated on the same day after you have a clear understanding of your complaint and have given your consent for treatment.
We attempt to leave no stone unturned when it comes to finding out what exactly is going on with your body. Some of what we'll perform on your exam includes; assessing the joints of your spine and extremities for alignment and motion, performing functional testing to assess functional deficits, evaluating your posture using computer software to see what role your posture may be playing in your health, and measuring the muscle activity around your spine using surface electromyography (sEMG) to see how much stress your spine is under.
Thinking of coming in to see us? Great! What follows is an overview of what a typical first visit looks like in our office.
Once you've completed the paperwork you will have a chance to speak with one of our doctors regarding the reason for your visit. This is a great time to get to know your doctor and for the doctor to get to know you. They'll ask you any pertinent questions relating to your specific concern and answer any questions you may have.
What's going on with me Doc? That's what we answer here. Before any treatment begins your doctor will sit with you and make sure you have a thorough understanding of your condition before starting care. You'll also get a chance to see your finding from your examination and ask any questions you may have.
